The latest model year of the Ram 1500 makes a host of changes, with the largest probably being the introduction of the TRX off-road model. Otherwise, the new Ram 1500 makes a handful of minor updates and tweaks. If you're in the market for an uncompromisingly powerful and versatile full-sized truck, then the new Ram 1500 is a must consider. The new Ram 1500 is available in seven trim levels: Limited, Limited Longhorn, Rebel, Laramie, Big Horn, Tradesman, and TRX.
Interior
The Ram 1500 allows for impressive interior customization thanks to a long list of comfort and convenience features. Indeed, the Ram 1500 allows drivers to opt for a rugged, work-ready interior or a seriously lavish one. The base Ra m1500 comes outfitted with vinyl seats, air conditioning, push-button start, and a manual telescoping steering wheel. Stepping to a higher trim allows drivers to improve upon the base set of interior features. The Ram 1500 offers up interior features like a dual-pane moonroof, leather-trimmed seats, wood interior accents, heated front seats, and metal interior accents.
Performance
The Ram 1500 makes four engine options available across its seven trims. The base engine that comes standard with the Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. If you're looking to go beyond the base engine, then there's an available 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, which features 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Slotting in just above the diesel engine is a 5.7-liter V8 that manages even more power, to the tune of 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The latest model year of the Ram 1500 introduces an all-new engine with the TRX trim. All TRX models come with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, which provides 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. All engines work with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Two-wheel drive is standard while four-wheel drive is an optional upgrade (except with the TRX trim, which comes standard with four-wheel drive).
Technology
You might think that because the Ram 1500 is so big and strong that it lacks tech features. Well, we're here to say that you can think again, because the Ram 1500 touts a long list of tech features for Memphis, TN drivers to enjoy. The Ram 1500 comes standard with a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a Uconnect infotainment system. Tech makes a big jump with higher trim thanks to features like a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 360-degree camera system, and a 19-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system. All new to the 2021 model year is a digital rearview mirror, which uses a rear camera to play real-time video on what's behind the Ra m15000 on the 9.2-inch LCD screen that's integrated into the rearview mirror.
